So Afer posting a thread a few weeks back about how I was inspired and wanted a Trans-Green SR5.
After a few quick replies, Stanky informed me of a dealer that had one in NY. Royal Music | Guitar Bass Keyboards Drums Superstore! | 516-377-8000 , I called and Asked the guy i spoke to a few questions, how it played, weight, and price. The price was fair, of course he said it played amazing, and he told me the weight was "middle". So I take a shot in the dark and order it without seeing pictures or anything.

A week later, I find my prize at my door step excited to finally have my Fav color in my hands. Rip open the box crack open the case, and what do i find, A Trans Teal (my least fav color ironically) Picked it up, was problably the heaviest SR5 I have ever held. So, sadly, I pack it up and call Royal Music to see what we can do about sending it back. They were ok about the whole thing, a bit slow, and anyone who i didn't make the original sale with was certainly not very excited about talking to me. So after waiting a couple days they called and did have the Trans Green and they said they would ship it to me and refund my shipping which they did, So another week passes and I get my package when im out on the road!

So finally I got home tonight at 8:00 and rushed inside to check it out. IT IS AMAZING! It weighs less than my 10lbs Trans Red, and the piece of wood used for the body has the most amazing grain patterns! It also seems to look more green than some of the other trans-greens i have seen. Either way This bass is UNREAL!
It took a month or so and some extra waiting but it was all worth it!
Thanks to everyone that helped me out with my first thread.

Congrats! It's a beaut. I can't tell if it's just the pics, but it looks like there's some light quilt going on with the grain on the back?

Glad you got a good one! I am with you I always am a bit apprehensive to buy a bass sight unseen. I have never had a problem with the EB's I have ordered though always a great player. Glad it worked out.

Sorry to bump an older thread- Cory, does your SR5 have a matching headstock as well? I may have to hunt you down if it does :D
