Darn you. Piezos or no Piezos?

I was kidding :)

So they got rid of the one on the back under the neck plate and put it on the 12th fret? I liked it on the back (I do like the 12 fret better though :D )

Yeah the "2007" inlay really looks sharp on a maple board. That's what did it for me (aside from the usual MM bang for the buck). I'm getting an SR4H. That's her pictured in my sig.

Why does it seem like everyone wants to wait until the last minute to order these things?!?!?!? JUST DO IT ALREADY!:D

ya i agree especially given the fact that this one dealer i know takes a very reasonable deposit for an order then grabs the rest of your cash when the bass is delivered. you can definately use the build time to your advantage regarding getting the cash together n all

This is a question for the EB employeees, this seemed liek a good thread, as my question doesn't really warrant its own.

Are there ever any bodys that can't be used, where the painting process was messed up in some way? Like, everything else is fine, but some of the white spots in the blue dawn are smudged, or something? Would they just be laying around the shop, unused? It's a long shot, but I feel it's a pretty intersting queston, as I'd be interesed in one, maybe slapping on a regular non SE neck on it, and having it treated like a regular bass, and being priced+completed in 1-2 months, like a normal bass instead of a 6 month custom one? Crazy thoughts, but please answer to the best of your knowledge please!

and by golly that dealer would have my deposit except for that little detail called a TA's salary possibly in my future. (and I do mean little. why do I wanna get smarter?)

You're only as good as your worst instrument.

Nacho,

I'm no EBMM empoyee, but I've seen one on TV. ;)

Actually, they cut the mistakes into little pieces to keep them 'off the streets'.

It does seem like a good thread. But no, your question doesn't warrant its own.

So far, so good. Listen, I'm not an EBMM employee, nor do I play one on TV, but what you're asking for amounts to:

- if you guys make something ugly, can I have it cheap?
- it would be like a limited edition, only I wouldn't have to pay for it!
- or wait for it!

Let me go ahead and answer the question for you so you don't have to get annoyed at any actual employees: No.

Hope that helps!

Fixed it for ya. Feel free to insert more colorful expletives as you see fit.

I'm not an EBMM employee either, haven't seen or played one on TV, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. Does that count?

I thought that's what OLPs were...

No, those are built overseas, where the parts are sourced from as well. The cost to ship our "2nd" "3rd" and "4th" body blanks to China would be prohibitively expensive and defeat the purpose of OLP.

Thanks guys...I was referring to the fact that dude was looking for something cheap and sub-standard.

I was really just asking a question that I felt was interesting, I didn't expect a serious "yeah, we'll sell this to you" reply, or all this uncalled for rudeness and hate.

Actually, by stating that you would be interested in obtaining an unused body, you implied that you were serious about your inquiry...
