So Victim Nation played its worst show ever today. we blew it. came to a grinding hault duding our cover or GnR's "Its So Easy"... it was just bad. Mostly we didnt care and had a good time and joked around but it sucked sooooo much.

anywho, moving on... my GK caught fire 2 days after our gig 2 saturdays ago. We hadnt practiced since and i was really worried about my gear/sound. I have the Little Mark II that i use in my other band... that band's practice space is horrible so ive never really "heard" my LMKII in a comfortable setting with my usual Aggie 4x10. (i use a 2x12 with in my other band)

so i set up on stage, plug in my BC Sterling and smile. all the guys in the band also commented on how awesome it was. I had to crank the bass up to about 3 oclock... otherwise i left it flat with the Vwhatever knobs on "off". later i twisted those to an arbitrary position and, wow, it sounded amazing.

Yes - i like it better than the 1001. no bs, it sounded better to me and plenty loud. I clipped it a bunch and had to pull the gain back but thats to be expected cuz i play pretty hard in Victim Nation.

so right now i must say that the Little Mark 2 + Aguilar GS410 + Sterling = awesome.

now i need a new head for the other band's rig cuz the little marks gonna stay in rotation for Victim Nation.

oh ya - and my strings are kinda oldish. I love new string brightness so i cant wait to see how much i like it with a fresh set of EB Stainless Steal Super Slinkys.

speaking of the Stainless Super Slinkys... i gave a pack to a buddy of mine today. Its looking likely that they're gonna get signed by a super awesome punk label soon (hint: "meow") so hopefully he'll dig the strings and play the hell out of em... mental note: i gotta order 10 more packs

anyways... i guess the gk catching fire wasnt such a bad thing

And, from what I can see from the anecdotal evidence, they so rarely burst into flames.

Which is, you know, good.
