The volume knob on my brand-new fretted Bongo was bent a bit when it arrived back in 2005. Bent it back, no problem. I got teased mercilessly about it for many, many, many, many, many, many months afterwards, probably because I overreacted.

There was another guy (don't remember who) in Scandinavia who had the same thing happen at about the same time. Speculation was that the stiff foam in the case lid was putting some pressure on the knob and normal shifting of the bass might have bent the shaft a bit. I don't really know. It has not reoccurred.

I still get poked about it, from time to time, well over a year and a half later. MingusBASS seems to take great delight in doing so.

So does BP, for that matter.... :D
