NOW:
New wireless keyboard and mouse for my Mac (bought yesterday)
and a 19" brand spankin' new flat screen monitor being run 1440x900 @ 60Hertz resolution.
Now I can use my Mac as a laptop and when I'm at my desk I connect 2 cables and it's a desktop.
It's a MacBook Dual Core (not 2) that I've had since September. But the desktop setup feature is new. I wanted a Mac desktop, but couldn't afford it and decided this is a cheaper and in some ways better alternative. I don't have to worry about syncing data between desktop and laptop for one, since they're one in the same for me.
Now I'm trying to decide if I'm going to run DVI or VGA from Mac to monitor. I'm leaning DVI right now. (Please don't give me the technical garble and tell me DVI is better. I know the technicals behind it and such; I'm a computer salesman and my dad is an IT/SA for the last 20 years professionally and a while before that as a hobby.)
Mods, if this is too O/T feel free to close the thread (or delete it).
