I would love to deal with Pete..The problem is..I had a run-in with the CommonWealth of Conn. in 91 when out on the road with Valentine /Extreme at a club called "The Monkey Bar" ..I was informed not to have anything to do with their great state in the future .....and for your DT fans it did involve T-Boy & Vinny..or as DT Fans call him Grimace ...More info will have to drop the serial # on my EBMM BONGO-6 to single digits and involve a Mystic Dream finish...and if BP don't back off of me:D :D :D :D I swear to...I'll slap a kahler tremelo on it..yep..It's gone that far..laugh now..but S.I.M.S lites on the fretboard is something I'm thinking about as well...Anger..maybe.Rage ..definately....But it all stems from Jody Davis leaving the Newsboys..and then Phil Joel leaving shortly after..O.K..buzzer went off..Med time

double down big boy ! you are now 189th

O.K...on the rider..It stated we needed a loading bay..No ramps to ground level nonsense..So we get there. And the club built a deck all the way around it's sides with a big ramp..all made out of 5/4 pressure treated wood.So the rest of the elderly states men suck it up for the load in..We had like 4 loaders..But they dissappeared after the show..Well I backed the Penske 5-ton up..drop the piano gate..push our piano gate up under their ramp..it was like 8-feet wide and 12 feet long to ground level from the decks normal height...and proceed to lift the ramp up to the 32 inch level...Club owner was pissed..But it was raining..and gravity wasn't going to be my friend that nite..So I just brought the place to my level..That club had like 16 par cans..4 had to be used on some booze companies go-go dancers...and I'm making rain chanels over the drummers head with garbage bags..because he uses a Simmons SDX drum computer and the ceiling is pissing cats & dogs

Sounds like a plan ...and I ain't talkin that Motley Crue "The Dirt" sissy stuff .I'm talking fist fighting with state troopers at a "Days Inn" somewhere near Hartford , while trying to keep your balance because this is all taking place on a pool that has a cover on it in November "Full on trampoline effect " you have to love those pool covers that have spring tie-downs .

3 things:
  1. Connecticut is NOT a commonwealth, mASSachusettes is and so is VA. VA is kinda like VD but at the beginning of the alphabet. KY and PA are also commonwealths but KY makes great lube for those tight situations and PA, well who knows what goes on there...
  2. There is currently no club called "The Monkey Bar" in this state, unless it is so much in the backwoods that it is in the jungle.
  3. I will be happy to dispense your meds to you, provided you present me with a valid prescription while I am at the other job...

Currently Valentine/Extreme aren't on tour..This was Danbury back in 91 ..I just thought if your cops had those big white flowing wigs, and white pancake make-up with pink rouge , and big gold buckles on their shoes..It was a commonwealth..My bad...The club was back in 91..It was promoted by some guy named SuavA ..swauv-A..something..could have been the jungle club by now..They spent like 5 bucks at a dollar general on plastic coconuts and fake bamboo trying to compete with clubs on Long Island .Valentine & Extreme will be playing at Canal Room fora benefit on May 18th. in NYC ..It's a charity for their former manager Steve Hoffman whom passed away a couple years back of lung cancer

The only people with white wigs around here are soon to be members of the BHOB Club - "blue haired old biddies"

Ease off the meds, or get back on them! you missed the joke...... :D
Ya...Meds is what I would need to go back thru Conn. with a band..Is Toad's Place still there...another venue that couldn't comprehend..What you load-in..you'll need to load-out at the end of the show/night..So those 6 loaders you requested on the rider ..Yes, you'll need them twice...I'll stick to Boston & Providence

Toad's Place is still around - I've only been there once. I didn't fall in love with the place like almost everyone in this area does.

Hey Pete,
Since this thread has been derailed all the way around, how close are you to the old Oakdale Theater? My wife flew me up there for a concert in '99 for my birthday, cool venue...

Oh yeah, any info on that email I sent you a month ago?

thanks,
fred

We are 20-25 minutes northeast from the Oakdale. They remodeled it a few years ago and it's a great venue at which to see a show. I've probably seen 15-20 shows there in the past 4-5 years. (It's called "The Chevy Theatre" now)

The Rosewood fretboard is a no-go - Thought I replied, I know I've mentioned it on here... oops.
