No, seriously!

It was the 5th anniversary of We Will Rock You in London, and they like to make anniversary shows special, so instead of the usual house guitarist, up pops Brian May out of the stage in a big cloud of dry ice for the second half of Bohemian Rhapsody, followed closely by Roger Taylor and his drum kit coming up in the tube station bit at the back of the stage.

After a bit a mutual back slapping with Ben Elton as well, they played The Show Must Go On at the end as well. Sound engineer really whacked the volume up too, making it more like a gig.

Oh, and for UK readers, Al Murray The Pub Landlord had made an appearance as well, coming up on a Harley Out of the stage with a pint for Galileo and a fruit based white wine for the lady!

Magic evening. Being part of a theatre crowd who know what's coming and then go completely ape when they find themself in a 2000 seater Queen performance.

Those boys have really still got it!

Yep, Queen rocks! My fav band of all time! I met Brian in '98, very cool - got the guitar signed.

Now just waiting to see if Dream Theater (2nd fav - sorry DT :D ) will make it to Australia this tour...I hope they do.

Roger Taylor from Duran Duran?

Not quite :D , although I do seem to remember that Duran Duran also had a drummer called Roger Taylor?

Excellent! I have seen the London show 6 times and sadly never had Brian turn up!

Have to look out for the 'special' nights, anniversaries, Freddie related dates etc. Neil Murray posts occasionally on the WWRY web site forum and usually gives big clues if a 'special' night is coming up.

sweet as mate!!! isnt the dominion fun!!

Not 'arf!!! :D

How was your mates gig?

Man I used to love that band. Brian May's playing was always the storytelling kind of playing that air guitar seemed invented for.

Wondering why John Deacon never seems to appear with the band anymore for awards and such?? Anyone know that story?

As far as I know, after Freddie's death he just retired completely. I think he was always the family man (lots of children) and has been quite happy well away from the limelight for the last however many years.

Very rare man in the business of rock and roll!
