couples weeks ago, I saw an old Morse model in guitar store and tried it.
I really love its neck.

But it seems that most of you guys here in the forum choose Axis instead of the morse? So maybe the axis is better? I have also tried an Eric Johnson Strat, and love its clean tone a lot.

I currently own an Ibanez Prestige RG2550. Its a great guitar for the price but everyone is having an RG like guitar, I just want a better one which look more unique (musicman is not very popular here)

I play rock and pop rock mainly. Now I am totally confused about which guitar should I get. Can anyone give me some advice please?

I'm an Axis lover and also more recently an AL Lover.

So if you like the Fender Eric Johnson do yourself a favor and get an AL :D Best 3 single coil guitar on the market and this is a former Strat lover that tell you that. More recently another forumite (Tommyindelaware) sold a vintage Strat (60') cause all his needs were covered by the AL.

Don't misread me, I'm not bashing or flaming Fender. The Strat is a legend guitar that did a lot for the music (and still do) but I believe (and many people here also) that the AL is simply better

regarding Axis or Morse I think you should try both. I have tried the Y2D and though I like the look and all the feature of this guitar I simply didn't click with it (neck and pup sound).

Hope this helps

morse geetars are better geetars....but most of these guys are scared of the switching system. :D
since the y2d came out ....alot of more folks have gotten morse geetars .

Welcome

The Morse is definitely a great guitar ... the best I know in fact. The switching system is great. You have so many possibilities. If you have to cover a huge amount of style, the Morse is a first choice.

whats the difference between axis and axis super sport btw?

Vintage trem (ASS) against Floyd (Axis)
Pickup selector 5 positions (ASS) against switch 3 positions (Axis). The ASS has 2 more position with the humbucker splitted inner coil and outer coil

the rest is pretty much the same

Super Sport also has a hardtail option, rosewood board option, MM90 pup option, and a tone control

Never played an AXIS, but I doubt that it´s directly compareable to the Morse. They are totally different ?!?!?

Morse is great, it does not only cover a wide range of possibilities, it has a great own sound. It is more than a mixture of Tele and Paula or something else (2 HB & 2 SC).

You get used to the switching. I mean we are not apes or something. You have 3 switches to use. That seems to be possible ;)

Even for a German :p

Sorry for this ... just the old German / French rivalry ...

:) take this: [nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjTW5Y_EgGk"]YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.[/nomedia]:D :D :D

to be honest (no rivalry). Most Germans were for France ´cause Italy beat our team.

end of hijacking
