Maybe I'm just too sensitive, but, there are just a few things that are starting to bug me, and as I am not one to dump on someone's thread, I thought I would vent my spleen here instead.:p
  • People making a new for sale thread when we have a perfectly good sticky thread. Trust me, it works, everyone that is looking to buy, will look at it! Hey, why not use it!:)
  • People posting DOB request threads when we have a perfectly good sticky. Trust me, it works, I used it already and got a response in just a few hours! Hey, why not use it!:)
  • People who dont read faq's. Join, and post for sale ads straight away, or post requests for support without contacting, erm, support. The faq's really help, why not read em!:)
  • People who use bullet points.;)
  • Cold coffee, really I'm sick of it, I bought a cheap coffee maker and it doesn't keep my coffee warm for very long. Unless I drink the coffee within 10 seconds, its gone cold. I wouldn't buy a cheap guitar, so why oh why did I buy a cheap coffee perc!
K, bare with me whilst I don my thread shield.....done, k, flame away new thread starters!!:D

Damn, missed that one! Mods are too nice here. Considering EB provide this Forum at its own expense, I would simply hit the big delete button on any threads like that posted. A simple PM would be sent stating 'read the faq's, if you have a support issue, contact support'.
Surely, this is a Forum for those that love EB products. If someone came and dumped on the TooZ Up myspace, I'de hit delete in an instant. It aint a free for all, and freedom of speech on a privately owned forum is not a given. I think sometimes people forget that.

Lets not open up that whole free speech thing tho.....

The FAQ thing isnt bad, when someone asks a question that has been asked a number of times it gives people a chance to answer and discuss a topic sometimes, its not like we have hundreds of threads a day on here, and about the sale thing, I think that if your a contributing member or you have a rare guitar than people wanna see it, I for one never look at the for sale thread, its too many damn pages and I dont have the time to read it, I agree that signing on th sell a guitar is annoying, but I have been a member since 2003 and when I was trying to sell my hardatail axis It got deleted and that pissed me off, not complaining BP so dont flame me:D

Actually the forum was getting bogged down with sale postings and everybody thinks that theirs should be an exception. It is getitng bad again and we will have to piss some more people off but the majority likes the forum clean. (and if they dont I do!!!!!!!heheheh)

thats cool, I just want the guitar to go to a good home with someone who will appreciate it and not someone who doesnt see its value, also the proceeds are going to grab another silo or an ALMM90 - new - does that change your mind?

Moderating a Forum is like a balancing act, sooo easy to get it wrong. No criticism intended btw, I think its a great place here. So many very nice people, and the odd nutter!:D

I can help you with the coffee problem. Find yourself a good insulated mug. I have a cheapo store bought one that keeps gas station coffee hot for hours.

Lock if you are looking for a Music Man instrument you will check the thread especially with the view last post read feature.

YOu know please keep in mind that there will never be 100% consensus on how to run this dump!

Y'know, you maybe onto something there Andy. Ive been off them for 8 months now, and off the patches for maybe 3 or 4. Today whilst driving, people were really p***in me off, and I'm normally a really mellow driver.:)

Hey Big Tony
Keep off da weed!!
Don't find an excuse to go back on them - if you have gone this far stick to it.

If anybody wants advice on giving up smoking PM me and I'll try and help.
I tried giving up loads of times - been off them close on 7 years - and believe me I'd smoke a piece of string if it was on fire!!
