WHAT?!

If Wolfgang is his daddy, guess who's HP's grandaddy?
:D :D :D

Yeah. No doubt. But I've always argued that the Wolf is more different from the Axis than people over here would prefer to admit. The necks & fretboards are very different. Pickups are noticeably different. Carved top is different. Body shape has some similarity but is indeed different. Neck on the Wolf is angled.

No doubt they were both made for the same guy but given that, they are remarkably different. And the HP takes it even farther too.

It's all good. Get what you like and play it till yer fingers bleed.

Okay, the Axis (Trans Gold) has been ordered. I expect delivery in late July or early August. Man, it's going to be long wait.

Again, THANKS!

My post is actually a joke post... Let's see if I get the puch line rite this time-

If Wolfgang Van Halen is Hartley Peavey's daddy, guess who's his grandaddy?

So you mean HP is a bastard?
(That's a joke too, BTW :D )

Boobala,

If you want to see a "normal" Axis top, check out my guitar on page 34 of the permanent guitar pics thread. It was ordered just as a natural finish Axis with no other specifications. It came in as you see it in the pictures.

Nice, it looks sort'a like a Flame/Quilt hybrid. Flame towards the center and a little quilty on the outside. What does the neck look like?

You've found a wonderful way to "worship the Lord", my son.

The neck is a very nice piece of bird's eye. I don't have a picture handy or I would post one.

Yeah, I can see a few eyes winking at me on the lower end of the fingerboard. Love to the rest of it if you run across a picture.

Since you're interested, I'll round up a picture of the neck and get it posted.
