Yes, they do have a Bongo 4HS. That's the bass I wish I had bought instead of my 4HH. If I had been able to sell mine and buy that one I would have.

Spoke with Tom, from Act 1.
Their website is in error. It is actually a Stingray SR4 HS, not bongo HS

I hate to be, ummmm, Lisa-like, there, Tim, but if you had the HS wouldn't you regret not getting the HH? Esp. since you can change the HH to single coil?

the just asking, plus thanks for the ticket offer Sunday, you're a pal,

I have played the non Dargie SR HS and Single H bongo, both are nice...

But the Dargie Sterling HS I played gave me gas and I think I will need to order a sterling HS soon..

Aaaaaah, Jack, but what you don't know is that he made a little trip to Mr. Dolan, who whipped out the soldering iron and, viola, it's changed to a single coil.

Sterling called Tim on talking about a mod in his first post a while back. This is the mod. If you think about it for a sec you'll recall that I know about the switching 'cause I have Ben's former Bongo HS. It was formerly Ben's. It's still a Bongo HS :D .

Mostly I was just giving Tim a hard time. He knows I'm like that.

She's right, Jack. Ten minutes with Dolan and I now have a Bongo HS that can quickly and easily be converted back to an HH with no side effects. It was a simple matter of switching a couple of wires on the back of the pickup. I'm loving it (even more) now. The single coil soloed has the clarity I crave and it blends beautifully with the humbucker in the bridge too.

Glad you got my message on the tix Lisa. Next time.
