And so ends the era of the Ampeg for the Darling clan.

Ritchie, let us know your thoughts and how you like it. I am seriously considering that combo or just a Little Mark II with a 4x10 double ported. I have not played the combo yet, but the separates were slammin. I am dumping my Eden 4x10 for the Markbass.

Thanks!

Yes, that is it exactly. Have you used the DI on the Markbass? I am wondering if I will need my Demeter tube DI to use with the Little Mark II.

Congrats Ritchie you're going to love it! :D

I also must point out for those who also play keyboards, the MarkBass amps totally ROCK for keyboard applications! I put one in my keyboard rack, all I have to do now is decide how many speaker cabs to bring.

Sorry Kirby, I haven't DI'd the LMII yet. However, I can't imagine that there would be any problems. This is great gear!

Now I just have to unload this great huge Ampeg thing!

The wife is happy the Markbass is smaller. Takes up much less room in the house!

GC had a fair bit of stuff. But I only focused on the combo. I do need to get a 4X10 or 1X15 to go under it though.

I KNEW this would happen.

Nu-uh! :p

o u so CRAZY (congrats :D)

Thanks! A little insanity never hurt nobody.

Those amps are the most piercing, fast tracking amps I have heard. If you like to throw in the occasional triplet this amp will reproduce it loud and clear. Congrats:D

The throw on the cones is INSANE! I like the VLE knob. I can sound like an old SVT and not break my back lugging one around!

something is telling me I need to make a trip to phoenix. What did they have in stock?

This was the last 102P they had. But, lots of LMIIs and a couple smaller combos. I'm glad I went in. Even though I did sign up for the GC card. 12 months same as cash.

I am so happy for Marco at Mark Bass. Here is a guy who has busted his butt to move bas amplification forward. Tone for days and chiropractor friendly!

BP, I just fired off an email to Marco via the Markbass website. Hope he gets it! Big kudos all around! (Linguistically incorrect, but you know what I mean!) :D

Congrats Ritchie you're going to love it! :D

Nice! I might have to buy another for my synth pedals!

I was not really wanting to drive down. It's like 3 hours to get there. But our drummer wanted to go as well. So, I went. I'm glad I did! :D

You're right, even my girlfriend approved of the MarkBass gear once she saw how small it was compared to my previous cab, I wonder whether Marco should consider using such an angle to promote his stuff.

"Markbass... even your non-bass-playing partner will love it!"

There aren't too many amp/cab manufacturers that can boast as much! And as for the "throw" on the speakers, I wonder whether it really is greater on the Markbass gear, or whether it just looks that way because you can more easily see the movement of the yellow/orange cones? Hmmmmm...
