Hey guys!
Looking to get an Axis! Best guitar ever! Problem is I'm poor and so I need to try and keep the cost down. Figured I could save a bit by getting one without a matching headstock. Can you guys post pics of your MM with plain headstocks so I can see what it may look like?

Thanks!!!

Hey if you like the look of a matching headstock you could always go for the natural maple top. Than your whole guitar would be matching!
and I give you a newbie to newbie welcome to the forum!

First off, welcome to the forum!!!!

The axis actually looks quite cool with natural headstock even though it's most often seen as matching.

Pics coming right up!!!!!

Thanks for the Welcome! Yikes! Those are some hot guitars guys!!!!!!!
EBMM gets me excited! I was so torn over what guitar I wanted. I love Les Paul sounds, but are too hard to play. I'm not very big. I'm sooooooo happy I'm going to get an Axis again!!!! Coolest designed hotrod guitar ever!!!!! Not sure about the headstock yet... I'll keep you all posted!

Maybe an Axis SS, is the way to go... I'm not sure about specs you can order with the SuperSport. Can you get it with just a volume and three way switch? Seems to me that's not available...

Even if not available in that option would take any guitar tech 10 minutes to set it up like that for you.

Anyway heres my Axis with unfinished headstock and no lacquer either.

Stunningly beautiful guitars! Obviously some of us like to see the beautiful birdseye maple of the headstock and not have it covered up with paint :)

Hey Fogman, i'm not really a fan of black guitars but that looks sleek as hell.
I'd love to see how that looks with chrome knobs on it.

Dude, gorgeous honeyburst there.
I got a used Supersport during the week - shame it didn't have piezo though.

Rob, that top is a stunner. Must be the 2nd nicest ever!:p

Hi Rokster and Welcome!! I know that a matching headis a cost option, but alot of knuckleheads (the collective name for forumites here), actually prefer plain heads. The only reason I got mine is because that is what the distrubutor had in stock.

Whatever you go for you won't regret it.

Cool thanks! If I don't find a used one, and I end up ordering one, I may lean toward a Honeyburst with plain headstock... but really any color is cool on an Axis!!!!!!!

Unfortunately, the SS or Sport aren't available with that control option.

There is someone that had a tech switch out their controls. The tech changed out the 5-way for a 3-way, and filled in two of the control pots.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Bummer, but no biggie. The standard Axis rocks! Love your avatar bud!

Put your thumb on the headstock! This is as close as I can show you.
