Hi there,
Dan around perhaps ?! :D

Just received my new Ball today, but it seems quite weird to me.
http://www.ernieball.com/forums/mus...urchase-sadly-tending-bounce-how-proceed.html

Could you verify this:

- Silhouette Special SSS Trem
- Color: Lavender Pearl
- S/N: 88818
- maple neck / non matching headstock

Do these things match or might this be sort of a guitar puzzle assembled from different parts ?
What's the DOB according to the S/N ?

Thank you so much in advance !!!

I would like to know the DOB and original destination for my EBMM JP6:

* G22470, Carbon Blue Pearl (I think - it's solid blue and slightly sparkly)

I am at least the third owner of this guitar, as I purchased it on eBay from someone who had purchased it on eBay a few months before selling it to me. Regardless - now it's not going anywhere! It's a keeper!

lonewolf, your Blue Pearl John Petrucci 6 was completed on 3/05/03. Nice!

Hi,
Just got myself an Axis Sport SSH translucent orange, for which I traded my '97 Silhouette HSH Floyd, and am very happy with it.
Could anyone please tell me the day of "birth"?
serial # : A92573
Thanks!
Rob

Rob, this is not a trans orange (that color was not introduced until 1999) but instead a very rich Trans Gold finish. Your guitar was completed on 11/07/97 and shipped to Germany.

Cheers,

Dan

Rossie, here is the vital information for your friend's guitars:

G10925 - Axis Sport (not SuperSport), white/maple tremolo, maple pickguard, 07/05/00 shipped to Japan.

G15044 - Axis- Translucent Gold, 5/17/01, shipped to a Sam Ash store.

Nice!

hey, huge, it appears this guitar and you were meant to be together!

Your guitar was finshed on 19 September 06 and was sent to Australia.

Three's company! I did it again. One beautiful JP7 Loaded in Desert Gold. Serial number: F18354 purchased from Bass Central. The EB/MM shipping label states the DOB as 05/30/2007. Thanks again for making awesome products! Now I have a JP6, JP7 (both loaded) and an SM-Y2D. What's next?

Axel, I am a bit perplexed by this one  the serial number #88818 refers to an Axis in trans purple built on July 2nd 1996 and originally shipped to Steve's Music in Montreal, Canada. It's hard to know what happened here .... sorry not to be of more help, but it would appear your guitar's serial number has been swapped ... The reason I suggest that is because the Lavender Pearl finish was only available after we went to the new numbering system and would have had the the serial number starting with the letter "G".

Also, the life of the Lavender Pearl was fairly short and there weren't that many made. We didn't start making the color until late 1999, and it lasted until 2002.
