Took a few shots just to see what looked best.

Still need to update my current basses page.

Anyhoo:

By the way, there's the 'new' neck heel, rounded like a Sterling/Bongo. Cool!

Which frontal shots do you like best?

The last one looks good. You should prop it up right in front of that chair! :D

Thanks to all of you!

I think I can do better. My up-close vision is not great so I have to download stuff off the camera before I get a clear idea whether the shot will work or not. Afternoon light is much better with these basses; I'll go back to work soon!

BTW, weight on this one is 9 lb 15 oz, so just a bit under ten pounds. Not bad!

The second to the last photo is the "money shot" for me. You've really captured the grain in the wood. It has a desert sand dune look to me. Wow!

It looks like a fire is blazing out from the pickup in the second to last one. :D

Jack,

How does the 20th stack up against the 30th tonewise to you? I really cannot afford one of those right now :( but just curious.

Steve, give me a week or two and I'll have a better idea about that. First, I have to get the same strings on both basses, then I have to remember that I'm supposed to compare them, etc etc etc.

I'm working on all those items, but remind me again in a week or so?

Jack you dont need to put the same strings on it to tell the difference. To get a sound like your choice of strings just take the bass with slinky's roll of all of the treble on your amp and bass, disconnect the midrange knob and boost the bass half way......your only halfway there here is the secret key to make our stirngs sound like those immigrant strings you use...Jam three cotton balls in each ear......

Looking forward to the report
