If you watch their Live In Texas DVD you will see several great EB basses. I think he plays a Blue Dawn Sterling (maybe it was a Stingray).

Sadly, it's the only American bass magazine still around since GW's Bass Guitar recently kicked the bucket. It's sad since it was the better mag (IMHO).

Quite recently - the July issue (with the Fall Out Boy guy on the cover) was the last. I just read in their forums that Guitar World is going to supposedly up their bass coverage (they're keeping Ed Friedland on to do reviews and such).

Acoustic is done as well.
They replace your subscription with the regular Guitar World and I subscribe to both Acoustic Guitar and Bass Guitar, meaning I'll be getting 2 copies of Guitar World for a while.

Quite recently - the July issue (with the Fall Out Boy guy on the cover) was the last.

I Just bought the BG July issue and it has Geddy Lee on the cover (fall out boy was last month). It also has Ed Friedlands' nice profile of the SR5 20th in it.

You're 1/2 right. July issue is/was the last issue, but that's the Geddy Lee Issue. Fall Out Boy was June.

yeah, I was wondering why I got Guitar World until I read the
1st insert page saying BG was cancelled. It was a good mag.
The GW issue may have 3 or 4 % bass content
I hope they can expand bass coverage quickly.
