You know, it took Gibson's "Futura" series (flying v, explorer, moderne) something like 25 years to actually become somewhat accepted. I think the Bongo is moving along faster!

You know, it took Gibson's "Futura" series (flying v, explorer, moderne) something like 25 years to actually become somewhat accepted.

I haven't heard many Gibson fans talk up the Explorer. It's got the same gutless pickups as the Vee, which is a shame, since the Ex is a good looking bass that could benefit from a pair of TB Plus pups (or even better - Bongo pups and preamp )
