I was all set to sell my sub1 to maiden 666 when he didn’t have the green, I’m kinda glad right now, my wife ordered a shed load of home improvements and every guitar (except for my sub as it was about to be posted) is flight cased and vaulted – messy contractors!

I’ve been playing this guitar solid for about 3 days now and I can’t believe i) I was ever dump enough to want to sell it ii) dealers thinking because the is EOL that they need to slash prices to clear ‘em and iii) they’re not being snapped up by everybody at low prices. The other weird thing is I had never even thought of selling a ball until a few weeks ago, and when the deal was done, it felt odd…. Very strange, perhaps there’ mind altering drugs in the finish – look at Robdelinda !?

On a slightly different note – I can 100% understand why you had to pull these as the quality is there, but you couldn’t have been making much/anything on ‘em – I wonder though, I’ve bought most of my balls used, I hate the term “Can’t afford” but I can’t justify new guitars all the time, things like my DD Luke I can justify because of the rarity and if I’m honest resale value should I ever need to shed some wood… but I wonder if there was ever another sub (sub 2 ?!) would it be more mid ranged price say, a little more than a sub but less than a signature model…. Sort of Les Paul classic money ?

Just fishing……

Sorry for maiden666 not getting the dough together for the SUB, but HOOORRAY for you Smelly for keeping that thing!
Have this from a fellow SUBliminal EBMM lover: Keep that cinnamon beauty! She is YOUR mystic dream :D

Love it - play it - rock it

Axel

BTW: I'm currently also thinking about selling some SUB in favor of a JP, but aaaaaargh - everytime I play mine - it's a class of it's own... not comparing, just unique and I just love it... am I crazy ?! YES AND NO !

Funny you post this. I almost sold one of my EB SM guitars (trem model that I rarely use - only to record really), but just couldn't do it because it was my first EB. Of course it has Steve's sig too.:)
