At 2pm (GMT) our whole town are saying goodbye to one of my best friends.:(
He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer only four weeks ago after months and months of being palmed off with paracetamol and gaviscon by our local GP.
There is a lot of anger and frustration felt by the family, totally understandable, I feel. I just hope everyone keeps themselves in order and respects Kevin.

Sorry about this post... had to share. His predicament sort of puts things very much into perspective.

Mods, if this post touches any nerves please feel free to remove it.

I'm really sorry to hear about that. Cancer also took my uncle from me and I know it's really hard to deal with.

My best thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.

Sorry to hear that. :(

I understand how tough it can be. I'm within days of losing my 3rd family member this year, and the 2nd to cancer. Stay strong.

Sorry to hear that, tombboy. My uncle (who is also my godfather) is dying from liver cancer right now. It was completely unexpected, and he's got some rare form of cancer that feeds on his calcium. They've given him 6 months to live (he was just diagnosed 2 weeks ago), but I don't think he'll make it that long.. he's deteriorating rapidly. He'll be 57 on July 2nd.

BP, this is my uncle who is the artist.

My condolences.

This ****ty disease is turning into an epidemic. I lost my mother last year due to it, and people all around me are dropping like flies. Makes you wonder doesn't it?
