I just picked up a Markbass Traveler 102P cabinet and have been fiddling with the tweeter control. Can't hear much of a difference either cranked to the right or left. Those with Markbass gear - does your tweeter control affect your tone much? Can't find any info on the Markbass site. It would appear that the control is flat (0 db) on one extreme and minus db on the other. Is that right?

I have 3 ;)
Try slaps and pops while turning the tweeter knob... you should be hearing the difference very easely... also when turned way up a little hiss maybe not much when turned counter clockwise non hiss

Tell me if it helped ?

The tweeter control is not a tone control. It is a volume control. Cranked, the volume is at 0db, or in other words, "no cut". Turning the knob down simply cuts volume to the tweeter. The crossover in the cab is set at 3.5 kHz, so frequencies from 3.5 kHz and lower go the 10s and frequencies from 3.5 kHz and higher go to the tweeter. Therefore the tweeter control is only going to affect tone higher than 3.5 kHz which is pretty high frequency, so if you are not slapping or playing your D or G strings you might not notice much of a change when adjusting the tweeter control. You should notice some hiss when it is turned all the way up.

To no one's surprise, I immediately turned the tweeter in my cab all the way down and never thought about it again.

That would take far too much time. Just crank up the high frequencies, play REALLY LOUD......I'm sure it won't take long to pop. All of my tweeter loaded cabs did. :D
