My top five...in no certain order, are:

Dream Theater - Systematic Chaos
Anberlin - Cities (trying to feel it, but I like their last two better)
Kings X - Tape Head (also Ogre Tones)
MXPX - Panic
Over The Rhine - Films For Radio

On a wave of nostalgia I went looking for Timbukthree on Itunes, mainly 'cos I didn't have Gotta Wear Shades and wanted to hear it again. However the track I really like is Acid Rain - a cool song with a deceptively simple but engaging bassline, played well.

Also listening to Michael Manring's "Leaving America" off Soliliquy because, well, it will always remind me of leaving America.

Actually, I'm an "incomer" not a native so I can't do the accent justice. "Brizzle" is local for the city of Bristol, where they have an odd habit of adding an "L" to the end of any word that ends in a vowel, so "the Bristol Area" becomes "the Brizzle Aerial". :D

S's become Z's ("zider from Zummerzet") similar to the odd way "T"'s become "D"'s in American ("look at that liddle kid playing in the wadder...")

"Gert lush" is Somerset for "very nice" :D

They're a strange bunch... probably due to all the zider...

that's an amazing CD. i love it. i remember when i was hanging out with Jesse and he hooked me up with an advance copy. we were off to get burritos and i popped in the disk and was floored.

Mass' bass playing's super good. funny story: a while back he sent a big email to a lot of his friends and was surprised when i saw that he put everyone on the CC line. i could pick out emails for all these guys in big punk bands like Fat Mike, Billie Joe etc

you know what?

i've been rotating a whack of discs that i played on............bass,drums,guitar......whatever.

i'm in 3 different little projects and we record everything so,with the ease of recording nowadays, why the hell not right?

burn it to disc.........baboom...........there you go.

it's good mental practice too.........for me anyways.......helps me dial in new stuff to put to the old stuff.........
