Reb is cool. Great player.

Your Suhr will be a top quality guitar.

Your EBMM will also be a top quality guitar.

Enjoy them both and have many hours of fun.

Robelinda, i am relatively new EBMM and these forums and i must say, i see your name all the time and you are always so kind and level headed.

Unless you are talking about an AL - then you get nutty!!!:p

one kid is enough, let me tell you!

back to the topic.....i would like to play Suhr for a good length of time one day, the ones ive played were for only a few minutes and werent the model i woud want to play, obviously high high quality guitars, all those USA boutique builders do awesome work. I even played a PRS SE that i didnt mind for a cheap production guitar, just get that laquered neck sanded back!!!!!!

See my signature...lol. I'm not trying to start a flame fest here, but I'll kick a little non-bias here...there are some valid points for either side but remember this is not an argument...

I own both so I feel that I'm qualified to speak on the subject. MusicMan guitars are dope, Customer Service is great...easy to contact someone at the company should I have an issue. That being said, Suhr guitars are dope...customer service is great, easy to contact someone at the should I have and issue or question...

Suhr does lesser production numbers and his bread and butter are the guits you spec out EVERYTHING...hence pricing. His guitars are more vintage in style, but with modern build techniques...including winding his own pickups, and the revolutionary SSC system which is passive and I feel kills any other hum removal system out there since it doesn't color your tone or require anything additional and it can be retrofitted to any guitar provided your middle pup isn't reverse polarity...(sorry BP...I just can't get down with the batteries and the factor that I can't install it in my partsocaster...).

I tend to think of EBMM as the off the best rack production guitars out there...meaning there's pretty much a model that will fit someones needs without custom shopping it...

However, here's where I don't make friends...most of you Suhr detractors are definitely talking smack out of your...lack of information (ie. you ain't played one) and pretty much wearing your forum loyalties on your sleeves. I promise you this...one or the other isn't necessarily better....just different. There are things that each builder does differently...this holds true when you're comparing Andersons, Grosh, Vigier, Tyler, Suhr, Music Man, Stephenson, Melancon...with that being said, I'm a small fish in a big pond, i buy my gear and I pretty much align what i play with companies that i feel take care of their customer base...both of which EBMM and Suhr do equally well. For example...you buy an OD-100 amp from John (he designed it...and the CAA 3+SE...) and he'll tweak the shat out of it until you're personally happy with it on his dime...this means altering the circuit...then so be it.

Point being both companies make some dynamite shiznit. I wouldn't hesitate to send friends in either direction depending on what they're looking for. Most cats I know can attest that I can vouch for both and i feel blessed to have some great gear to geek out on by these companies and it definitely shouldn't be one a Suhr Rules EBMM Sucks or Suhr Sucks EBMM Rules discussion regardless of where you're posting...

OC I dont get it . I think Suhrs are great and nobody has blasted them. You are a new yorker what do you expect in Yankee stadium when someone wants to talk about the Angels? Remember the original poster solicited personal opinions on which was better.....shocking that people here thought we were.....I wonder how we fare in the SUHR FORUM?

I keep saying that it is about choices for artists. Still do. Did anyone say Suhr sucks?

I actually think that they are well regarded here as they should be.

There have been some silly things like Lance bragging that you can play one with the neck screws out and you may judge our pateneted silent circuit how ever you want and I dont want in in a parts o caster

It seems that on a regular basis people get shocked at bias on a diehard forum. I dont know why it isnt expected.

I understand that unfettered zeal for your instruments, and it is expected here...but I figured I'd drop a little more insight since I own both...Like I said, it's not a contest for me, but realize I push both companies, also if you notice...I do own more of your stuff and have owned more of your guitars than any other company ;) I don't think I disparaged you guys anywhere in my post, just as I didn't JS. Maybe I'm naive but I tend to live in a world where I tend to believe that people like a lot of stuff and I don't really get down on it unless it's F@#$r or Gib$on. Sorry if I overstepped my bounds...

No Orange you just overreacted a little. I Cannot keep saying that I root for USA makers that make great stuff. It is really hard to survive and I want them all ro do exactly that.

I think the responses were quite civil and I still wonder why someone who just buys a Suhr wants to know which is better after the fact. I also HATE the VS thing OR workds much better

I can understand...to be honest I didn't look at the title...hahaha. Yeah I see your point there....that's kinda well...I won't go there.

BTW, I wouldn't generally be found at Yankee...I'm a partial season ticket holder on the other side of town...in which case we need to seriously turn it around in the second half....hows that for off topic! :)

I have a EBMM ASS and a Suhr Classic T both are brilliant guitars. I bought the ASS first and played at least 100 different T style guitars before settling on the Suhr, I really didn't want to spent the amount of ££ on the Suhr but having got used to the quality and playability of the ASS it really was the amount you need to spend to get a guitar that's as good.

EBMM make great guitars, So do Suhr, Tyler, Anderson and a few others. Of these EBMM is by far the cheapest so represents the best value IMO, but they don't cover all the bases so if you want e.g a hollowbody, or Telecaster you may want to try the opposition.

If I were to try to compare each aspect of Suhr and EBMM I could probably say this is better on one this on the other etc, but it's all pointless both are great guitars, and what I liked about one would be purley subjective.I would be very suprised if Either a Suhr or EBMM buyer would be disappointed.

There's lots of great guitars out there, not all of them are made by EBMM.

I.

Complaining that the EBMM silent circuit won't fit into a home made guitar is the least sensible criticism I have read of a guitar since reading Ed Roman's rant against G&L guitars because Fender parts would't fit into them.

Am I the only one who is annoyed by this thread by now?

Press that red X at the top right of your screen and it will stop annoying you.

All these EBMM vs.......threads go the same way........in fact you could just resurrect the "EBMM vs Parker Fly" thread and use the "Replace" tool to change the name to whichever guitar you want
