Hi guy can you guys please explain to me the differences of the Eb basses? I know little to nothing about them other than the fact that I think SR 5's sound awsome!

The tonal capabilities of the Sterling are the same as the SR5, but it's a 4-string. The StingRay 4 has the same tone vibe, but does not have the toggle switch for PU wiring.

Sterling vs StingRay 4 : the body of the Sterling is a bit smaller and the neck is thinner.

I'll let the Bongo experts finish this synthesis ;)

Simple... Bongo=destroyer of small cities, stealer of girlfriends, and total purveyor of coolness. It makes fat men look buff and adds hair to your head... it even makes White Castles edible. There is nothing a Bongo can't do (except grow normal eyebrows on Jack ;) )

Go play them all, one will speak to you, buy it, live happily ever after.

And next thing you know, you have two, then three basses... heck they multiply just sitting in their stands. Rabbits I tell you, rabbits... that's what they are ... :D:D

LOL it's actually not for me. It's for my old bass player. He has yet to see any 2 hum SR5 or Bongos. Are the controls on the SR5 2 hum diff than the standard SR5? The bongo comes in 1 hum, 2 hum and 1 hsingle 1 hum right?

Thanks for the replies.

The pickup selections on the 2 Hum SR5 are different than the normal SR5. As far as the Bongo goes, you are correct, it comes in H, HH, and HS.

Phil is right and the single H is in a different position than the HH and HS - thus producing a very different sound
