About to pull the trigger!...
The only question I have is Rosewood, or Maple?
Without playing on them any thoughts on the sound?
My Axis with the maple board is brighter than my rosewood, wondering if the same hold true?
I do not really care how it looks, but what do you guys prefer?

thanks for the help.

I love rosewood, the feel, the look and the sound quality. Maple is too bright for me, but the decision is yours alone :)

Highenuff, only you can make that call, but if you have a line on a 20th get one, you will never regret it. If you like maple over rosewood do it, I have maple and I like that, but that's my preference. I'd like to get a second 20th that has a rosewood fret board. :D

Good luck, Glenn |B)

I don't think that you could make a mistake with either one. I'm generally a fan of rosewood. So, that's what I got. I think tristan's maple board sounds great. So, really, either one is good. I'd love to try one with maple.

The quest is over, I just pulled the trigger. I went with the rosewood- as I prefer my rosewood neck on my axis.
As soon as I get it I will post pics.

That pretty much says it all right there.

Glenn, I will have a new-from-the-vault 20th Silo hardtail w/ rosewood fretboard on sale @ the clinic... matching headstock if you can deal with that
