Hey guys,

So I've been away for a few months, but here I am again, and I bring news: a brand new (to me) SR5! This thing is gorgeous and plays like a dream (pics to follow later tonight; I was just so excited I had to post immediately!). Lava pearl with white PG and white pickup cover, rosewood board, a 2004 in MINT condition. Wow wow wow.

The story here is that my drummer is the Drum Workshop rep for the Northeast - i.e. he works with Guitar Center and other retailers on their DW inventory. A while back he decided it would be good to have a bass around, so his friend at GC sold him a new SR5. Meanwhile, I had bought a Fender 57 reissue P which was NOT working for me at all. He never used the ray and I never used the P, so I talked him into a straight trade - a four string is more useful to a non-bassist IMHO, which is what convinced him. He loves the P and I love my new ray.

I am beaming all day today. This bass is my new favorite thing, ever.

Take care guys,

Phil

Don't make me come out there :D

Nice score, man. Although what are you gonna do with that 5th string?

Thanks! No offense meant to the 4 stringers out there; just saying my drummer had no idea what to do with the low B, same as most guitarists as I've found ...

Nice trade!

trading a 57 P reissue for a SR5 is like ....

...trading a PT Cruiser for a Corvette...

you've got so much more power and tone AND the 5th string.
