I wanted to shift my AL into a more heavy rock niche but I didn't want to modify a DD in any way that wasn't reversible...

Did you try different P90 sized DiMarzio Humbuckers or just the ToneZone ?
Does the tone compare with the full sized ToneZone ?
I'm jsut asking cuz I'm really crazy about trying one out in the bridge position of my ASS MM90...

if its that good why stop making then i want one but im a poor student and buy the time i saved up i could't get one why wont you make a blues albert lee? dont even need to look the same just have some of the same idears neck pickups ao just have normal colours or colors on it

As for the Blues Albert Lee, it's Albert's guitar, to have a Blues Albert Lee model would take away from Albert's model. The Albert Lee has just seemed to start to find an almost fanatical following (Rob), but it's a great guitar, so this is rightly so.

I think that would be great, but that a BP business call, and probably not in the cards. Blues seems happy playing EBMM's and that what's really important.

That's great advice, and how I joined the EBMM flock in the first place. Lots of great used deals to be had out there if you keep yer eyes open

thanks i will keep my eye out i've had a luck for about 2 years now savied up working night shifts and got a luke in luke blue its anawsome guitar i just need a 24fret guitar with 2 humbuckers because im doing loads of rock and jazz gigs i need the versatillatyi will keep looking

I have used several of DiMarzio's "P-90" Humbuckers over the years such as the DLX-90, DLX Plus, Virtual P-90, Super Distortion P-90, and Tone Zone P-90....

So, when I selected the Tone Zone / Virtual / Tone Zone combination, I knew what to expect sonically....especially with the coil splits and treble bleed cap etc!

The P-90 version of the Tone Zone is basically identical to the 'full-sized' model in its tone & response and has the same amount of output. I think that there'd typically be a much greater sonic variance in two 'identical' guitars than the two versions of the Tone Zone that we're comparing! (The "Tone Zone S" is a little different - AL SSS owners take note! )

So, go ahead....treat yourself...I think you'll enjoy a Tone Zone P-90 in your ASS!
