Just wondering if there's any plans on the horizon for the standard JP's to adopt the BFR Body shape ? (whilst still retaining maple neck etc etc.).

That BFR shape is just awesome, and seeing the Dargie BFR got me thinkin'.

:)

How cool does JP Evolution sound for a model name !

I was wondering this very thing earlier this evening after seeing Steve Morse with Deep Purple, before I even saw the Dargie BFR JP. I mean, let's face it, when was the last time anyone saw JP with an original-style JP6 or JP7?

Cue the protests from people who prefer the old shape. :p

I hope the original JP stays in production for awhile, at least until I get a second one. I think the BFR is way cool, but I prefer the original. I like the dished out body, unfinished neck, and the solid colors better.

This is a really cool situation for me to be in. How often when you're shopping for guitars or for that matter anything, is the less expensive model the one you really want?

I like both models and I hope the market will support both models. After all they are different in more ways than shape.

+1 right there.

I'm very hard pressed as to which I prefer, classic or BFR, as they've got their own merits.

i agree with bp and karl. Ive owned a ton of different guitars and finally found a model that i love. Ive told my wife ill only be buying jp's from now on. I'm lucky to be one that loves the original as well as my le with the d sonic and soon to be Bfr. They have there own feel, there own characteristics. So i'm down for variety. Keep em coming and i'll keep buying =D
