Is the pickup placement the same for all of the single H MMs? 4 string and 5 strings? Thanks, Jason

Oops! I always knew the single H and double H Bongos were different as far as the bridge pickup but I had it wrong as far as the single H position! I always thought the single was different and the dual was the same as the SR's. Had it reversed.:(

Sorry about that! Old age.... :p

I believe all the dual pickups have the bridge humbucker moved back a bit, not just the Bongos.

That's not true, actually. The Bongo has 24 frets which leaves less room for pickups. The new HH and HS Stingray and Sterling models have the bridge pickup in the same place as the classic single H models.

New HH and HS what? SR, SR5, and Sterlings? Or the all of them, including Bongos?

I think bdgotoh said that due to its 24 frets neck the Bongo makes impossible to maintain the bridge pickup position in HH models (maybe HS, also?)... But in all Stingray and Sterling models (including HH and HS) the bridge pup is in the same «sweet spot» of the single H models...

At least that's what I got, Eric...

Exactly.

Also, it's no longer called the sweet spot.

It's the Kill Zone.

2. Cupcake factory 5%
3. diamond in a goats ass 23%
4.DISNEYLAND 18%

Too bad I didn't vote...

My contribution would be to option 3! :D
