how will the sterling 5 be different from the stingray 5? the sterling was designed based on the stingray 5, so i'm curious to know what would make a sterling 5 distinguishable from a stingray 5? a smaller headstock? a smaller nut width? won't both of these sterling trademarks have to be made bigger like a stingray 5? i'm confused.

how will the sterling 5 be different from the stingray 5?

First, it will be called a Sterling, won't it? Whereas the other one, the Stingray 5, I believe will remain a Stingray, you see?

So there's the main thing. One's a Sterling 5. The other will be a Stingray 5.

(I've been watching too much Spinal Tap.)

I don't really know about much, but I do recall BP posting that we could expect perhaps a smaller body than on the SR5, a skinnier neck, a non-SR5 pickguard.....

...after that, I'm leaving it up to the experts.

I'd venture to guess some had the same reaction when the sterling 4 came out.

i read the same stuff jack read and thats all i know too. i dont remember BP telling me any secrets about it... and if he did, well, they'd remain secrets

i know one thing will be different for sure... i'll be buying one for sure :)
