My 15 year old daughter plays drums and that's the biggest failure of my life : I never could lead her to bass playing.

We traced - okay, I traced - the outline of the bass so the neck looked pretty straight to begin with. As far as the fretboard goes, he really did the initial design (the ultra-fanned frets were all him) and then I cleaned it up some and we colored it together.

He's mighty proud of it and I just read him all your comments. A smile that would light North America appeared. He's still five, so he can be completely insane and unreasonable, but he is a really great kid.

Izzie (now ten months) always has a big smile when the DD comes out, and she has worked out then when its on the stand she can pluck the strings and make a noise. Bless her she looks so pleased with herself...
