I picked this amp up a couple of weeks ago. The Super Sport and Switchblade make an excellent combination. This guitar and amp combo has inspired me!!!

It is a sign. If you decide to buy one out of the states, PM me and I will let you know were the best deal is. I have had many amps from Carr, Mesa, Dr. Z etc, this one makes me want to play all night. Just something about it, also is great with all my guitars not just my MM90.

Intersting that you listed those other amp companies. They're also what I've been looking at.
Did you figure out the presets yet???

That makes it even more of a sign. The presets are a breeze, very simple to program your own sounds. I got the 50 watt version and it will run me out of the room. I saw a post that Big Poppa said they have one at the office and they love it too.

I've been reading that it's loud as hell!!!!!! :D

It's probably way more wattage then I need.
I love the sound that the Dr.Zs have and that they're available in lower wattage. My only problem with them (not that I've tried them yet) is that I don't think they'll cover the occasional heavy metal that I'd like to play. I want something versatile and with some high gain should I need it.

Here's my big little question with the 50. How does it sound at lower volumes???

Of couse turning it up is where it really sings, but it is very good at low volumes as well. I play only at home these days and have two little ones, so I dont get to crank it as much as I would like. I am looking at attenuators to solve this. I tried a bunch of amps. I wanted somthing that had a great clean tone, but something that would give the high gain as well. I know it is subjective, but this one does it all and does it very well. It is nice to get rid of FX pedals as well. And yes it is louder than hell.

Are the sounds comparable to the video demo on the H&K website? The demo sounded pretty good but some were saying that it was processed through a board etc...

Can you post some clips?

I was looking at this amp as well but there seemed to be an inordinate amount of problems w/ recent purchasers. Isn't this a first year model?

I was looking at a Mark IV head w/ a thiele cab but might need to save up for a car so I haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I havent listened to video demo. I went to a local store that had one and tried it out. I dont have the ability to post clips, sorry about that.

These came out in early 2006. I understand they had some bugs early on, but if you purchase a late 2006 or later this has been worked out. I purchased mine new, so it is a late model, so far so good.

I thought BP also stated to get the best pure/clean sounding tube amp you can then add your own pedals for tonal color. The Switchblade has built in digital effects.----I guess you could always bypass that by putting pedals in the effects loop and not using the onboard ones, but then you can't program presets w/ the pedals, you can only do this w/ the built in ones.

I have had great clean amps like the Dr. Z Maz, Carr Mercury, vintage Fe&^%der etc and think this H&K has every bit of a good clean sound as the above. With all the FX pulled out and with just a tad of reverb this amp has that great clean f&^%der sound. Kick in the different onboard overdrive channels and watch out. None of my other amps could do this without the help of pedals. Love this amp.
