Let's sticky this one.

That way, whenever we buy a new bass, we could show this thread to our wives/girlfriends, and they won't think we're THAT crazy for wanting a EBMM in each color. :D

Any speculation on what's the most valuable MM bass besides mine...just because it's mine?

I'm definitely not into the nostalgia thing...probably because I haven't transitioned from player to player/collector yet, but this makes me curious.

Maybe, if going down this road is ok, we should make two catagories...in the vault and out of the vault.

I'd have to put Bernard Edward's Stingray up there. John Taylor has it now and it is definitely out of the vault. I've seen him use it live.

There are a few that have gone that high. John Lennon's guitar that he did the White Album with (actually I think it sold around 500k), Mick Jaggar's guitar in which he recorded Beggars Banquet... but I bleeb the guitar being referred to is Hendrix's red Fndr Mustang

Heck--most of the guitars Clapton sold at the first Crossroads Festival went for well over $400k. I think Blackie went for $900K and his 335 went for $800K.

BP--Can you get Marty to this thread? He's the one who bought 'em. :D

SRV's guitar, Lennon's Zematais 12 string....All were up there (and for a good cause, too). I've still got my Christie's Auction book from the festival.

Totally forgot about these (I know, "how could I???"). Be kind of cool to own one of your hero's axes (I was sadly outbid on John Taylor's ExFactor by $25 - that would have been great - BE's SR that he owns now would be even better!)... Don't know that I could ever shell out that kind of cash (I thought 2300 was high)
