Quick question: do any of the major guitar chains (GC, Sam Ash) carry the Wonder Wipes? Or am I more likely to find them at a smaller, independent store?

FWIW, I live in the Cincinnati, OH area.

Thanks...

We have them at Moeller Music in West Chester.
We also have a JP7 Mystic Dream in stock, and 2 JP6's(White & Pearl Redburst) on the way.

Dougiefresh -

Thanks, man! I will have to stop in sometime, check out the store, and buy some Wonder Wipes. Are you there every day that the store is open? (Feel free to reply by PM if you'd rather keep it out of this thread.)

Thanks...

I'm usually there every weekday except Monday, and then rotate Sat & Sun.
If I'm not there just see my manager Jeff, I've just converted him from PRS to EBMM.
Here's a pic of him at his church gig from last weekend, he owns the Y2D that I special ordered a while back.
It's a killer!

I bought all three types, and so far have tried the fretboard cleaner (used it on neck backs, and it seems to work just fine!) and the string cleaner. The string cleaner is real good! I hardly ever change strings, and it makes black ones almost as new again!

I bought some WonderWipes Fretboard Conditioner today and tried it out. The main reason I wanted it is because over the years my nice maple fretboard has become rather dirty looking so I wanted to get it back to the original maple color. They didn't really do it for me, they more are for conditioning what you have already done to the neck, like fix the problem first then use that to seal it with. I am still looking for something to clean the dirt off with.

It's not meant to deep clean wood. To get down to that nasty stuff you can use 0000 steel wool, or you could try Murphy's soap if you'd rather not use wool. Both work well. But then you should reseal the wood. MM uses and recommends Birchwood Casey oil and wax. After that the WW's can be used to maintain a clean neck.

I wonder if EBMM ever thought of making a Wonder Wipe that is specially designed to do the Oil/Wax treatment? Not for the mass market, but would be a great thing for those times you need to re-do the neck.

I got some Murphy's soap it was the oil soap for all wood in a spray bottle. It didn't do much at all to the neck I saw a little dirt come off but it was still dark. I tried letting it sit as well and it still didn't come off.
