I bought my first 22 inch widescreen computer monitor for home this week, and it's amazing what a difference in window real estate I have now...Photoshop isn't so much of a chore to get around at home anymore! lol

I don't really like the widescreen computer monitors - they seem to be a bit of a fad at the moment. It was really hard to get a large 4:3 one. This Dell 21" seems to be the biggest 4:3 you can get.

Yeah, I don't see much of a need for widescreen for your general user, but for graphic designers, engineers, music editors, etc...the extra width is a blessing.

I've got 24" widescreen 1920x1200 Dell 2405FPW.
I couldn't go back to 4:3.
I want bigger now, the 30" is tempting. Although I need to stop buying guitars for a bit...

Watching movies, gaming, photoshop, lightroom. Lots of other stuff as well.
I just like the real estate.
Its in my bedroom so it is my TV as well.
Although I was for a while contemplating buying a 32 or a 40" HDTV to mount on my wall in my room as well. Realised that I don't have the room though, well maybe once my guitars and my 4x12s are removed, but thats not likely to happen heh.

Nice, what videocard do you use for TV reception?

I was using a USB dongle DVB but I decided I don't watch enough proper TV, when i say TV i mean DVDs, tv shows etc. So I really meant using it as a display like you would use a TV for watching DVDs etc...

Tristan, you've no chance lol
Maybe if I got around to redecorating.

My room is my workshop as well so ive got laptops and test machines kickin around the place as well and other assorted junk/spares that you never know when comes in handy.

am I the only sucker on Vista then>?

Yes you are!!! :p:D

I tried XP64 in the fall and it was a total disaster!
Once I know Vista is truly safe, then I'll switch.
If my main CAD software was available in a Mac version, then I'd switch.
