Is it true that when you buy the Petrucci BFR that you don't get your choice of quilted or flame maple, because that is a tad depressing, I prefer the quilted maple, both are still beautiful guitars!!

Saw the DT show in Toronto this weekend on the 18th at the Molson Amphitheatre, JP came out with his new BFR and all I could say is...WOW!!! he mainly used a quilted maple walnut burst for the show, and its shined soooo nicely from the stage! I know which one I'm gonna get once I have the money to get it lol:cool:

correct me if I'm wrong...1. does BFR F1 have bigger frets then usual jp6?
I have also few more questions:
2. Are there only 4 finish options available?
3. Is it possible to order BFR F1 without Piezo?

I was about to order JP6 model, but then I found on youtube this video, where Petrucci talks about his new model...and now I got stuck! Don't know what to do. I went to a music store last weekend, played on JP6 and the only thing I'm not certain is the fret size. I used to play on Jackson with Jumbo frets, and JP6 seemed to has very small frets...but this was the best guitar I've ever touched and played on. Unique jew :)

If you can help me with getting answers to my questions, I'll be very pleased and grateful!

thanks man, I appreciate that! :)

one more thing...what about old versions of JP model? Will they stop making them and focus only on F1? If it's true I got stuck even harder then I thought. I live in Poland and it's really hard to find any of JP models, so I believe it would take me a year or so to check BFR

As of now, the original JP models are being produced. It is one of EBMM's biggest sellers so I don't think it will be going away any time soon.
