Any reason there could be groove in my neck on the b string 2 and 3rd fret ?

Are you referring to the fingerboard, or the back of the neck? If it's the fingerboard, and you use roundwound strings, sounds like the strings have rubbed against the fingerboard somehow. Do you carry your bass in a gig bag? One theory.

Closest thing was Big Poppa lol... when I play the B I play there alot I don't lean it on anything and I carry it in the hardshell it comes in
