Alison Moody's handmade leather straps- I've used these exclusively for four years, and really feel like they've made a real difference to standing for hours with a guitar. Alison's really great too....... she's always at the Arlington and Dallas vintage guitar shows in Texas.

Mine are cow's armpit or something like that, I think.

Gosh damn! Those look nice. :)

I use planet waves nylon and I like them okay (nice designs, soft, slippery), but it would be nice to have a really nice strap like that.

I have two identical Levy's 3" plain black leather straps with Schaller straplocks. I use them for all my electrics. The straps have two layers of leather and both smooth sides face out, so it's great if you move your guitar around a lot while playing like I do.

bhawahawaw... Tim I have that same Levy's sun strap on my Silo Spec.... In addition, I have two Fender Straps on my SUB1 & Stingray.

I am not ready to burn the Fender straps yet as I still have two Fender amps.

I have broad & padded U.S. made "LM" (LM Products - Guitar Straps) straps in different colors on all my Balls.
All my Balls ?!
Wait - no!
There's a black Ernie Ball nylon strap on my 2001 Axis Sport MM90. Thin belt, but it's the most lightweight guitar I've ever owned... :D

+1 on Moody Leather

They seem to get better with age...no plastic parts to ding up the guitar. I've got a particular one-off strap she did (olive green; would be perfect with the dargie) that is possibly the finest strap ever made.

I would like to find a plain black leather strap with no logo or plastic parts. Those aren't exactly easy to find, or I'm just blind ;)

I sent Moody Leather an e-mail, asking them if I could return a strap if I didn't like the way the color looked in real life. None other than Allison Suter (founder/CEO) got back to me, and she asked me if I had some pics of the guitar or bass I was trying to match. She offered to help me match. Very cool. I'll let you know how it goes.

That's like e-mailing CS and having BP answer. Okay, it's a little different, because, I imagine, EBMM is a much bigger operation, but still...it's cool to have the CEO respond to your question in a much bigger way than you anticipated. I just expected a simple yes or no--not the CEO getting back to me, offering to help me match my straps to my guitars.

I've had a Moody strap in my hands once. I've never forgotten how amazing it was. All the other leather straps I keep seeing in GC or other stores just don't really compare. Either I'm going to go big and get me some Moody straps, or I'm going to go cheap with color-coordinated EBMM Polypro for my next couple of straps.

Of course, I'm waiting for EBMM straplocks.
