What pickguard do I want on my Sr5?

I've got an '06 SR5. It's got a black PG on it now;

I've been thinking about changing out the PG for something different, but I'm not quite sure what. The black looks great, but something different will be interesting for a while.


What do you all think? Any photoshop gurus want to put some different guards on my bass?

I don't know man, black looks pretty classy. On my trans red Ray, I tried black pearloid and abalone but went back to the black it came with. I'd like Tort if it looked 3-d like the abalone or pearloid.

Clear!! I have been considering a clear to show off the color in my nice black cherry burst. Seems a shame to cover up the nice wood with black.

Not sure about clear on an SR5...unless you were really into those clear 80s phones that you could see all of the electronics inside.

I'd personally either stick with the black pg or try a clear one.

Well, if he puts a clear pickguard on it, the guts will be exposed.

I thought of that and I was considering a discreet black spraypaint cloud on the backside of the clear to conceal the guts under the knobs...

My Vintage Sunburst SR5 also came with a black pickguard and black knobs.

I changed the pickguard to tortoise shell and the knobs to chrome.

This is not a very good photo of it, but I perfered the look after I made the changes to it.
