couple questions here

1. what is a good product to use to polish and clean up the stuff on my bass's tuning keys? I tried a regular polish cloth, but the metal still seems hazy and feels sorta rough on a few spots. slightly harder rubbing didnt help. any thoughts?

2. How dry are the Wonder Wipes polishing cloths meant to be? I bought some a month ago and only opened them today and they were bone dry. Tried them out and they didnt seem to have any effect?

3. Am I crazy for wanting to buy a second 30th Stingray? I feel like I am, but I also feel liek they are hot enough to warrant such a situation!

Funny you ask about cleaning tuning keys.
I used WonderWipes string cleaner on my tuners, just today.

Nice and sparkley they be

But having rough spots is something else.

Hiya

1. Simichrome polish works nicely on tuners, but keep it off the wood.

2. The Wonder Wipes should not be dry. Take them back to the dealer you bought them from.

3. You can NEVER have enough 30ths. Buy more.

The Wonder Wipes meant for the finish do FEEL drier than one might expect at first, but are in fact impregnated (Brian Ball did this but I don't think he was married at the time) with plenty of magic fluids that WILL clean your finish.

I expected them to be drippier. They're not, which is a good thing, and they work perfectly well.

(The WWs for the fingerboard are also suprisingly loaded.)

I thought that was the case, but they didnt really appear to do anything. I figured they were supposed to be a bit dry, and the cleaning would show, but it hasnt. Maybe the seal in the bottle was disrupted or something. Im taking them back today to the store I got them from.

The fretboard conditioner is LOADED and almost drips, lol. I wring them out before using them, hehehe
