Hi all,

My awesome wife ordered my Y2D (b-day present) from a Canadian dealer. He has a nice ebay store. He shipped my guitar out yesterday and as I write this, I checked the tracking. He sent it via Purolator. It left Toronto this morning at 10:04am. He said, in an earlier email, that it would get to me via DHL. Will Purolator hand off to DHL when it get in the US?

Thanks all...

I used to get stuff from DHL in the States and they'd hand off to Purolator at the border ... so should work the other way round.

Hope this isn't a NEW guitar or you should keep this a little quiet ...

According to the dealer/seller, it starts out with Purolator then hands off to DHL.

It's used, at least that's what the listing said...

Give the guy a break!! :) All he did was score a guitar on ebay.!!....the distribution "rules" don't have anything to do with Butch. I fully understand EBMM's policies and if they want to go after the vendor then fine. In the meantime?....Nice axe Butch!!

Who's going after Butch? I believe you may be looking into it way too much.

Butch and I had a very good personal exchange through PM's around this matter. He just wanted to understand it better.

And yes it is a very nice axe!!!

Would you guys care to say more about that? I don't want to get anybody in trouble; nor myself for that matter....

Just a bit concerned that Butch - a relative newbie - may feel he has done something wrong - which he clearly hasn't. Didn't have the benefit of seeing the PMS!! :D:)

Butch,
Purolator has a strategic alliance with DHL in order to leverage a worldwide infrastructure and provide a seamless end-to-end experiance designed to delight customers blah, blah, blah, insert corporate marketing blub here.

In short, they've agree to play nicely together to better take your money and your guitar should therefore be just fine.....
Congrats on the purchase by the way...:D

Yes, it would be a concern to Butch........ if the guitar was new. Because he did not buy it in the country where he lives, there would be no warranty. But the ebay auction clearly stated it was used, so I don't believe there are any issues. With that being said there is still no warranty because I don't think the warranty is transferable.

By the way, Butch. Great lookin' Y2D.:D

When I bought my AL a few years back, it was used with no warranty. However, I really don't worry much about EBMM stuff unless there is neglect on the part of the seller.

I would assume that most people realize that when you buy a used guitar there is no manufacturers warranty. And that's the key......finding a seller that you can trust. Especially on the 'BAY.:D

P.S. Checked out your MYSPACE. Very nice guitar work. You might want to change the background photo, though. Not familiar with that EBMM model.;)
