Hey guys...why don't we start a project where we have some backing tracks, and the forum members can collaborate/solo/share ideas and post them?
Perhaps even release a CD if it turns out well.....

Just a thought after hearing all these great players on the boards...

Yeah, I'm bored on a Friday night....

Okay...who has the ability to record a nice, funk bass line tonight if I stick up a quick drum track? We'll just do a 3 minute funk/rock thing. Whoever comes up with the bass line can pick the key

I love the idea!
And I'd really like to participate.
I can record guitars, bass, vocals and a little bit of keyboards (if they're simple).
Whatever you need...

Glad to see you respond...I look forward to jamming with you and other forum members.
I'll get some rough ideas up, and we'll just build off of that. Or if you have anything you want to start with....???

we need to all get the same software going and have a central place to post stuff... not to mention, one person to supervise it all and make the tough decisions!

Let's see if we can get a world record for the most number of guitar tracks in one song. :D:rolleyes:

Ivan should be assigned to keyboard or mixing duties or else no one else will want to show up ;):D
Oh, I see Dean's keen too....... triangle for him. :D

Okay, I have pro tools, Vegas, acid, and cubase LE.
Cubase LE comes free with a lot of products out there, so that may be a good option...any takers???? other suggestions?

I'd say cubase is good or export to a mp3 format, then they can import to any recording setup, let's just do a 12 bar blues, that would probably suit anyone to throw in some licks!I'll see what I can do this week about a 3-4 min. long blues in A or E NOW where talkin!I tried this before elsewhere just load backing track then load your "finished"track and let every one see your skills!or you can divvy up a few bars and send it to the next guy!I don't want to be too close to tyler dow byant HE SMOKES!Make me look like a newbie!Let me know what key you guys prefer I'm thinkin E?!?or possibly H minor HEE HEE!
