Guys Every company spends the dough as they see fit....

I just am tired of people being sensitive to being a fanboy...big deal. There are worse things to be fans of. Im a fan of my own company..I am a fan of the people that work for me Iam also a fan of my customers....whats the big deal?......The people hurling that weak asses insult are equally biased and excited over some other guitar comapny....THeir loss!

That's one of the coolest things I've ever heard. Thanks Big Poppa...got nuthin' but love for ya!

I had a brief chat on Saturday night with the GC folks that just came from Glenburnie MD (i.e. PRS forum party). Suffice it to say the EB torch shines through.

Same sentiments from J.L. from Guitar Player. I actually got to chat with him for quite awhile and he was absolutely floored.

Nothing more admirable than loyalty in most cases....if that makes me a "fanboy" then I'm totally fine with it. Our interest, and total devotion to this company speaks volumes about the product and the individuals who run it...period!

Cheers guys!

um.... im voting the next one should be the MIDWEST TAKEOVER!!! (Minneapolis/St. Paul, or Chi town). just a thought. but to stay on track i think that BP is the most generous person. He throws us knuckleheads huge partys. I've never had a 90K+ party before (and i probably wont). The man basically welcomed us into his home. and im very greatful for that. too bad i didn't get to go(had school :( )

Ladies, just please go easy on the location suggestions for 'next time'.

As BP said, there are definite advantages to being close to either SLO or Coachella. Those who've been to both places know exactly what I mean. But let's go ahead and savor this one for a few months before getting the itchy trigger finger, okay?

Biff, someone once told me, "There's no scorecard."

To which I said, "I think I'm glad there isn't."

We shouldn't be presumptuous to think that EB throw one of these shindigs every year - I know where Smelly is coming from though, and if one was on the cards for 2008 or 2009 it would be great to have early notice to arrange leave and get some money laundered, sorry I meant saved!!
I've signed the "Official secrets Act" so I won't tell anybody if the wink was tipped to me ;)

Edit
Shoot Smelly I didn't realise how far 8loody Inverness was from Edinburgh!!
How long would it take to drive from Edinburgh to Inverness assuming that you have roads, electricity, water etc etc ? :D

Do tell. Thom was going there yesterday with some of his Texas Heat (country band) buds to 'window shop' as he put it. Wonder if the desert bash came up in conversation....?

I wear my EB tshirts all the time. Whenever I get asked about them, I talk up the company, its products and its people. Even if I'm not wearing them, I talk it up.

I was at a birthday gathering for a friend last night and it turned out her brother works in a music store near Hershey, PA (Marty's). Unfortunately, it only carries a few EB accessories and outsourced guitars of much lesser quality. He was chatting about how cool it was that some of the endorsed artists would come into the store and they got to meet them. When I launched into a description of the recent bash and talked about the beautiful EB guitars he didn't have anything to say except that their client base is a lot of middle school kids and there is a market for cheap, used guitars (!).
Shameless, proud EB promotion! :)

Thank you BP again for these momentous occasions!!!

It's just not possible for you to be this way as a CEO of a company. And, because of this, and the fact I can never thank you enough for all the enjoyment YOU"VE made possible for me, I put it upon myself to that extra step and time when I go to music stores, gigs, jams, etc. . to talk/promote to others about EBMM guitars, basses, strings, etc. . . This is something I MUST do, otherwise I can't sleep at night!! LOL

When I am able to buy EBMM products I do it at a sacrifice many times (Bass-sic has enough shoes anyway), as I would imagine many of us do. I guess it's my very small, unseen way of saying "Thank You" BP!!

LOL - I can do it in about 3 hours, as long as traffic isn't too slow, my company car fairly gets hammered on the A9 - still not been stopped for speeding!

I used to live in Edinburgh and got some buddies there but it's more like a twice a year trip now, I was lucky enough to fly from Inv to Edi once - but the plane seemed to have been built by a 3 year old so "on the road again" every time now for me!

Funny, I just had a long conversation with my wife today about if and when there's a bash next year....we're both in!
Again, BP....what an amazing company. I've already designated myself the EBMM spokesman for Charleston, SC and I guarantee you will see an increase in sales in this region this year. Between, my friends, students, and church members, the buzz has already started.

Beej - great idea.

Maybe if 180 of us throw in $500 each.............

I'm in (times 2)...I'm still thinking we should all chip in and get BP a '67 Chevelle SS without a leaking fuel system! Probably could get one for a little less than he spent on us! Capt. Don

BP...did you hear what happened to the owner (Tom Parcel) of Magnolia?
He died in a really bad accident right down the street from my house about a week ago....very sad. He used to own a Chevrolet Dealership here years ago, and has owned several great restaurants for many years here...Blossom and Magnolia to name a few....
just FYI,

Smelly,
Your situation is not trivial to any of us at EBMM. WE understand that many of the people who come to our events make great sacrifices. That is another reason that I assist with the hotel and all of us work so hard at making sure that people dont leave dissapointed.

That being said...THese things are reallty a TON of work and a lot of money. My budget was $80,000.00 and we blew past $90,000.00. KEep in mind that time usally is spent designing and making andpromoting products and the money can be used to fund R &D.

I cannot guarantee that we will have a bash on the scale of this last one each and every year. Two years ago we had a pretty big one in SLO and last year there was one in Dallas at a hotel. THat one was about $55,000.00. IF you figure that Forumites account for about 300-400 units sold directly the math doesnt work too good.

THese parties must be very similar to what women feel right after child birth...."that's it.....Honey go get the vasectomey...I'm not going through that again" Six months later they are staring at babie in restaurants dreamin of the next one.....

Moral to the story give me 6 months. Ill have a pretty good ideal then if and when

OK So I'm digging this one up for Poppa,

Whilst Beth Daveb & Bind Lemon made Saturday a sensational night, along time ago I asked Poppa for the above and the man made it happen,

So I'm posting this for all the non believers out there, the ones who don't know that Poppa is good to the poeple here.

In days gone by I gues I would have said thanks big fella, but due to sirs new buff state....

Thank you Sterling, I really appreciate a UK party, I doubt I'll ever make it to the US, this kinda got the US to me, I really appreciate it.
Ball forever.
