DT Concert in Paris

Yesterday night was great
The Dream Theater show in Paris was really fabulous.
The sound was excellent and the boys played so well

The first band (Symphony X) made a good job. I am not very fond of their songs (sound to much 80's), but they are real pro (the singer was very good). So it was a good start.

After that, the Dream Theater show was absolutely brilliant. The set list was a nice mix of new and old. Jams LaBrie's voice was ok. Jordan Rudess made some incredible solos, Portnoy is a real monster, but for me the two shinning stars were the two John (Myung and Petrucci) and their BALLS.
JM played a gray Bongo 6 strings and JP several BFR. Amazing sound & amazing look

But during the show JP made one small mistake (a "boing" in the acoustic part of the Ministry of Lost Souls). But of course, after that he used the World Domination Mode so all the people were killed o in fact I am the sole survivor : I was protected by my Ernie Ball tee shirt).

Really a great show, so don't miss it !!!

I was hoping to get that song here in Belgium, but they didn't play it

We did get an awesome setlist though


Here in Belgium Symphony X's sound really sucked... I only like a few of their songs. Dream Theater's show was waaaay better anyways

Really a great show, so don't miss it !!!

Are you implying that DT has shows lined up with opeth in April/May? If so when where why who what??!?! That would be sweet as they are my 2 fav bands.

Wow, my Dream come true, I've seen Opeth 2 times, (well 3, but sounds of the underground tour doesnt count), and Dream Theater once this summer. DT was easily the greatest show I've seen ever, but they had really crappy opening acts imho, but with opeth as an opener? Wow...
