...I hope everyone enjoyed the clinic as I took it in a different direction....

It was great Sterling, really. The opportunity to get simultaneous perspectives from the varied backgrounds of four professional bass players was cool. Sometimes similar, sometimes contrasting, but always informative and thought-provoking.

Also, getting John's perspective from behind the kit was great, especially given the special relationship that a bass player shares with the drummer.

But the best part, I think, was the Steve Morse translations at the end! ;)

And the picks!

So we're milling around on Saturday night, taking everything in...

Ritch (OddJob) grabs me - "Hey Dude, you see your picks?"

"What picks???" I ask (Absolutely no idea what he's talking about.)

And he hands me one of these:

And I discover there are a handful of forumites with personalized picks that include their forum name and their tag line - incredible!

I rushed over to BP - "Who thinks of these things?"

"Ah, small details" he tells me.

BIG details if you ask me - very BIG details! This Co. ROCKS! :D

Thanks so much to Sterling and the EB crew for making this happen. My girlfriend and I had the best time, everything was just so amazing. I remember being on the jeep tour and thinking "I'm on this jeep tour because Sterling wants me to have an awesome time. He's not even here but he's paying these guys to take me out into the desert to check out all this cool stuff that I'd never see otherwise." And the same goes for the hotel. And the food. And the other food. It's all Sterling and the rest of the EB crew going through the trouble to make sure I have an awesome time. How friggin amazing is that?

I am so greatful to you, Sterling, and all you guys and gals in the EB crew, for making this experience for us to enjoy.

Thank you!

Aziah you were a lot of fun to hang with. Mitzi and I really enjoyed the time you took for us.

The Picks and everything was just great.

Greatest party I have ever been to in my life.

Thanks to the hard working people at EB.

The EB staff as usual were top notch. The picks were VERY cool....I didn't even notice them until Kbaim gave me one....lol.....

It was great to see those I met before again and to meet those of you for the first time.

Jack...thanks for taking care of me on Friday....;)

I am still recovering from the party (or maybe it was the long flight to Columbus, the drive to Cincy and teaching 3 hours after that) but I am still overwhelmed by the whole event (not quite sure overwhelmed sums up the feeling correctly, but it will have to do for now). Sterling, I am truly humbled by the generosity you and your staff showed us last weekend. EVERYONE was warm and welcoming. The events and food were unworldly.

I am just a teacher from Ohio that plays in a few cover bands and owns a few EBMM products (not as many as I would like, by the way - I will get my hands on another DG Bongo4 soon :D). It would have been very easy to be ignored or swept aside by those who have done more, own more, or are more. But I was, as I have been at the past two events, treated like a king - that is a true testament to you, your leadership and the BEST staff on the planet.

You and your staff, not only hit this out of the park, but out of the country!

Thank you (including your staff) for such a great event, some music education, broadening my horizons a bit (while I may not have said much I listened and learned quite a bit), and for just a great weekend.

Forumites, what can I say - you guys (and gals) rock. I feel I have made some great friends because of all of this.

All I can say is that the look on you face was priceless! What was even better was seeing you raid all the other tables though :D
