OK its time to come clean now that I have my 30th. I know of 3 30th Stingrays out there as of last week. They are at the following Guitar Centers

San Jose,Ca - needs to have its pick up lowered bad and has a small nick up on the headstock. Still marked with the standard GLP price.

Gilroy, Ca - I haven't checked it out lately since its hanging up high. Looks to be in good condition. If I remember right the price has been lowered on this one.

Fresno, Ca - They still have one left. (had 2 before today:D) Its a bit demo weary(grungy) and needs a pick up height adjustment. Last time I played it there were no dings to speak of. Still marked with the standard GLP price.

Ahhh that feels better now. So if your looking, go for it.

Before I forget A personal apology to FresnoRich. I'm sorry I did not answer your post in my previous thread. At that time I did not have the funding to purchase one of the 30ths at Fresno GC. If I answered you yes they are still there. I might of lost my chance at scoring the one on clearance.

this is just crazy...sloshep please disclose what you paid I know it is against the rules but letsz see just how cheap they can be bought for............
I say that we start tracking the price the GC is willing to dump them and maybe some people on the fence may get the benefit.

Isnt the 30th just a great bass?

No 30ths around here. The usual black/maple SRs and SR5s. Not that there's anything wrong with that. :)

I, too, am interested in what one on these 30ths might be available for. Will a GC ship one off their floor?

Dave sometimes you amaze me.....In the case of a product that is no longer avialable I get to make decisions just like you do in your business. This is not the same as normal production and I immediately said this is a one time exception to get the 30th's off the shelf and into caring hands. Use some common sense please.....BTW I have some very light basses with redwood tops and binding to make you feel better.....

Ok BINDING you won, I'm Happy now, lol. Hey mine was a Mistake at the time, it was something the dude had said and I was wondering what the big deal was cause I just replied at what I paid thinking it was no biggie, because he made it out like there was no deals on these anywhere, but GC called me and I went and bought it, it was their deal not mine, it's all good, Just had to mess with ya, hehehe

Is there a price drop ? How much ? Whats the password ? Cause I'd leave work now and run right up to Towson to pickup the one they have, if it's still there  ! They are sweet !

Timmy,
It's not a company controlled price drop...
it's up to the stores to decide what they want to sell them at now, since they are now considered last years model that was discontinued long ago. A 30th should be a great buy for someone to go in and haggle now.

The GC in Tacoma, WA still has one and still in mint shape, no floor wear.

We'll I guess I'm going to start haggling then  The 30th had a ding or 2 and I defintely have seen some nice BFR's that have been mistreated like "sloshep" stated. The was a JP in Rockville that felt like a lolipop had been rubbed up and down the back of the neck  It was a shame. We need to get out and rescue these poor defenseless works of art!

I have seen 2 30ths in the GuitarCenter located in Towson, MD.

I was playing one of them, they finally got a Bongo in too, it was a Burgandy color and I really can't get into that color. The last time I was there was for the Labor day sale. I ran to Rockville, then Towson and then back into Glen Burnie. I played that 30th for a while, but didn't get to take it home. Maybe I'll go back this weekend.

There is a 30th in Fairfax, VA GC

Last I saw, it was in really fine condition. I even polished it up, tweaked the truss rod, and read it a bed time story.

There's a 30th at GC in Cherry Hill NJ. Some regular browser must love that bass, looks like it's been gigged 30 times. Standard retail price.
