Before I forget A personal apology to FresnoRich. I'm sorry I did not answer your post in my previous thread. At that time I did not have the funding to purchase one of the 30ths at Fresno GC. If I answered you yes they are still there. I might of lost my chance at scoring the one on clearance.

No apology necessary. The important thing is that you got your 30th - truly an amazing bass. Thanks for remembering anyway.

The one that's left in the Fresno GC was marked down to something like $1350 or $1375 the other day when I was in there.

My bass had a couple of finish chips on it was the reason they put it on clearance.

It came WITH A CASE FOR............$1319 !!!!!
And it weighs only 9 pounds.

OK it really weighs 10 1/2 pounds, but it was still a killer deal.

Are you kiddin' me?
I was looking for 1 over here and it costs 3 times as much as you paid. I can't afford that. It's a very good bass and probably worth every penny and even more but.... :(
I'll just wait till next year so they can be shipped internationally.

For that price, you could fly over here, buy one and bring it back and probably still save some money. :)

I actually did that. I bought a complete bass stack with it as well. Yep....That wasn't planned. :D

But I don't know if the people @ Musicman are that happy with customers that fly over to the States and buy stuff there. I can imagine they are not.

Purchasing a MM while in the states does not violate any dealer agreement, of course we would always love for you to give the distributor a chance. Especially since most of the distributors that we work with have supported us and the MM line for years...as well as helped us to build and expand brand image and awareness in our International markets. So we would always want the distributor to get the chance at making a sale. Yes MM instruments do cost more outside of the US, just as a fine bottle of Italian Wine will cost more here in the States vs. Italy.

The one thing to keep in mind is that any warranty work will need to be claimed through the original US dealer for which that instrument was purchased. Unless it is a Limited Edition or "discontinued option" instrument that has been out of production for 24 months. In that case the warranty will be honored by the distributor for your region(and MM).

any questions(that can't be answered using the search function) can be emailed to me:

Update: for those still interested in a 30th Stingrays

Guitar Center in Gilroy, Calif. (30 miles south of San Jose) has a 30th for $1539
Its in good shape, only one very small ding on the headstock.
Ask for Mony, he is their new bass dude.

Guitar Center in Fresno, Calif. as of last week still had one, but no reduced price.

Uhh...I saw my Anny for the first time in GC store in Portland, Maine in August 2006. And she was hanging there lonely at the very top for almost a year.

I wouldn't say that GC staff hadn't advertise that one at all. I was offered to try it, even after I said that is't outside my price range. I was blown away and fell in love.

Anyway at that time I didn't have that much money with me, and credit wasn't possible for me either, cause I'm not a resident. I was in Portland a couple of more times last year and my Anny was still hanging at that same spot. I even called the store a couple of times to ask if she was still there. Finally I saved enough to buy her during my last trip in May 2007. And they said it was the only 30th they had in the store. I only paid out my debts recently, which were connected to that purchase and I laugh at those fools in Portland :)) she's all mine now!
