I went through a Southern Rock phase about 27 years ago.

The only band I still listen to is the Allman Brothers. That stuff can be really jazzy and fun to play, especially if you shy away from the usual suspect tunes.

Buzzy Meekins is very good friend of mine, I have no issues with southern rock. We were going to start a band, but he was leaning toward the corporate gigs, I hate that environment, so we jam sometimes.
