I have never been more happy with my tone than I am now. I loved the stock pickups on the 20th but I wanted to try something different to see if I could give it some more growl. Well, I found something and it worked. Amazingly! The bridge pickup tone on this guitar is to die for - literally - the best I have ever heard (and I have played them all!). SO, if you are looking to get just a little something more out of your 20th, try this (with the bar towards the bridge - sounds beefier/growlier/less piercing than with the bar towards the neck):

It did wonders for me - it'll probably work for you too!

Norrin, would you be able to post a couple of full shots of your 20th? I'm just curious to see how the whole thing looks with the D-Sonic and Air Norton. Thanks.

Not sure about the sound, but I like the asthetics better with the stock pickups. It does look cool your way too. Win-win situation I guess. ;)

Not great shot, but you get the idea:

The way it looks with the Air Norton and the D-Sonic in it reminds me of the BFR Prototype that JP used for Systematic Chaos. I'm saving up to get a 20th. I think if I were to ever trade my JP for one it would have to have the piezo though, cuz I'd miss that feature. Nice Mark IV by the way.

Great Rig mate.

Actually, it's worth a lot to me! :D

Thanks for your positive comments - it's much appreciated.

As for the curly lead - years ago they were rubbish. This new one I've got is Bullet Cable (they make straight ones, too). Just an awesome sounding cable. I tried a whole bunch of the fancy ones. The two cables that really made a noticeable difference were Two Rock (but I ain't spending more than a $100 on a cable!) and the Bullet cables. I really dug it and got one. I just liked the white.
