Hello Forumites,

I would like to ask a favor of my fellow forum members. I am a professor at Southern Illinois University. I teach a class in Integrated Marketing Communications. It is a Capstone course which is a semester long project where groups of college seniors form their own ad agencies and are required to turn in a complete Integrated Marketing plan (advertising campaign) along with creative displays at the end of the semester and take part in a formal presentation. It is their final class in order to receive a bachelor of science degree in advertising.

Long story short, I have selected the EB/MM JP 6, 7 and BFR models as their campaign project. Each group is required to do primary research on their target audience in the form of online surveys. Here’s where you guys can help out. I have posted the link to each group’s survey.

All guitar player's input is welcome. You don’t have to be a JP owner or player, or for that matter even and EB/MM player or owner, for your input to be valuable.

I will ship all three plans at the end of the semester to BP and will post all of the creative pieces for everyone to see. Sometimes the creative can be brilliant from this class.

Thank you in advance for taking part in this.

Just a bit of feedback - Question 41 in the last survey caused a small problem.
I shouldn't have answered it - but I was made to, in order to submit it.

I think the second survey asked for the genres of guitar owned but had left out Gibson from all the other choices.

I completed the first one - just a bit of feedback =-the question about which car you drive...mine wasn't listed and there was no space for "other"....so I had to lie!!
Otherwise a really good questioannaire.

tadaaaa!

Do old retired guys count as a potential market? If so, you might consider including that age/vocation category. I guess it's not a niche large enough to justify, however.

Great survey! My answers may have been just a little bit biased, but that's ok. :)

THANK YOU for choosing Music Man products to do the project with, Dreamrycher!!

I lied too. I said BMW instead of VW.

Done. Good questions although there are a few here and there that I didnt think were relevent to the topic.

PS; see if the AMP'D group can lose the survey software advertisment that follows their survey.

I change the order of the group's survey listings every now and then to give them equal chances at being first. Just in case you're wondering. :)

Dreamrycher:

Interesting; I'll be watching to see what your students come up with.

Regarding the questionnaires themselves - I've been in marketing research for about 19 years now so it's hard for me not to take a questionnaire without bringing out the "editors pen". These are pretty good for student work, particularly considering this is an advertising/communications program capstone class and not a marketing research class. Here are some quick observations on each:

EDIT: I just realized my comments could be biasing; I've sent them on in a PM to Dreamrycher to share with his class.

Good luck to your class and I'm looking forward to seeing their creative output.
