Jeff,

Don't do it!!! The cloud will lift and the sun will shine - just be patient!! It took you too long to get them in the first place. You can find "room" for the new one.
LOL:)

Hey guys....don't get me wrong. I absolutely love the ones I have now. It just comes down to economics right now...I'm just curious to see how the MM90s sound, and can't justify having 2 that are essentially the same. I actually plan on having an arsenal of EBMMs...I want an ASS with the 90s, one with humbuckers, one with humbuckers and a floyd (on order now), a Luke, and a Y2D.

I would love some more comments and suggestions!

I have two MM90 Axis SS... But I'm not gonna trade 'm! ;)

You should definitely get one, they are THE BEST!! But I know they are not easy to find second hand... Maybe that's because they are THE BEST!!!

Good luck with your search!

What do you guys think about the tone of the MM90's versus the humbuckers? I'm guessing (and hoping) that the 90's sound like the fattest and most punchy single coils ever!

I really do want both types of Axis guitars, but if there's not much tonal difference, I'll put my money towards a LUKE

Can you not just swap the pickups and electronics in one of your existing ASS?

Or am I being incredibly dumb?

That's a good thought.....but I'm pretty sure the pickup route is a different size.
Maybe someone here could confirm that????

Nothing is ever that easy for me.

Man, I hate to say it, but the body style of the AL just doesn't do it for me.
I'm quite partial to the axis, luke, and Y2D models....but I'm sure the ALs are awesome guitars.
